Artifice NYC is a 501(c)(3) curatorial research organization producing programs in creative science, installation, and new media performance, from prototype to artifact.
Two teams

Core Team
Holds Operations and Production, and keeps Artifice running between programs. Every program has a named Core owner of record. Three hours a week through the year beats a fortnight of heroics before an opening.
- Operations: the budget against actuals, board and funder reporting, the grants pipeline, and the filings that keep the 501(c)(3) in good standing
- Production: timelines and artist coordination, vendors and venues, technical direction on installation, sound, projection and XR, and documentation while the work is still being made

Extended
Takes one defined piece of work off Core for a program or a season, without carrying the organization between them. Where most people start.
- Programs associates, editors, documentation leads, communications, and curatorial reads
- Arts administration, production, development, curatorial research, editorial and law all help. Prior nonprofit experience does not.
